Taskmaster Challenges are citywide activities players can choose to explore in Marvel's Spider-Man. They appear in each district, placed by the mysterious Taskmaster, who has been hired by a secret organization to study Spider-Man and see if he is "worth recruiting"; to this end, Taskmaster sets up a series of challenges around the city to test Spider-Man's abilities, before engaging the web-slinger in a fight himself.
Challenge types Edit
The challenges come in four varieties:
- Bomb Challenges
- Combat Challenges
- Drone Challenges
- Stealth Challenges
These test Spider-Man's ability to parkour at high and low altitudes, fight, web sling, and sneak, respectively.
Success in each of the challenges can yield up to 6 Challenge Tokens depending on the final score, which is based on how fast players complete the challenge; achieving a bronze ("Amazing") rating will grant 1 Challenge Token, a silver ("Spectacular") rating will grant 3 Challenge Tokens, and a gold ("Ultimate") rating will grant 6 Challenge Tokens.
Challenge locations Edit
There are a total of sixteen Taskmaster Challenges, with four of each type, located across the nine districts.
|Central Park||Combat||Amazing: 1200|
|Financial District||Combat||Amazing: 1700|
|Hell's Kitchen||Bomb||Amazing: 300|

Taskmaster fight Edit
|Trophy: Master of Masters|
Once players have completed five different challenges of any kind, Taskmaster will find Spider-Man. This will prompt a fight, though Taskmaster will retreat before he can be defeated, earning players 1000 XP. He will subsequently taunt Spider-Man to complete more of his challenges if he wants a rematch.
After completing all sixteen challenges, Spider-Man will be ambushed by Taskmaster once more for the final fight. If players manage to defeat him, they will be rewarded with 2500 XP.
