The Superior Spider-Man Suit is one of the suits for Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Characteristics[]
- Appearance and Characteristics
The Superior design is based on athletic wear and compression clothing, similar to the Advanced Suit counterpart. The most prominent aspect of the suit that distinguishes it from other Spider-Man suits is the darker aspects and black lenses, as well as the augmented red mechanical arms. The suit has a dark-red-and-black color scheme, and features a large black spider emblem taking up the majority of the chest and red armored plating replacing the emblem on the back. The spider emblem on the front has much longer legs, with four angular legs on each side that flow into the black streamlines on either half of the lower torso of the suit. The shoes have also been modernized, now featuring a sneaker-style design instead of knee-high boots, with split-toed soles on each foot. Thin dark red webbing is still placed on the costume, now with armored technological vambraces on each wrist and an angular black metal belt. Most fabric below the shoulders is black with dark gray piping, sleek and streamlined in design, and the gloves are black with red palms and fingers. The eyes of the costume are much more angular than most of its other suit counterparts, the lenses are tinted black and lined with dark metal, and the eyes expand and contract.
The Spider-Arms are also modified to red metal, in addition to have different model.

Original appearance[]
The Superior Spider-Man Suit has had several iterations in the comics, with its second version being the most well-known. It was designed by Otto Octavius after he swapped bodies with Peter Parker, debuting in Superior Spider-Man Vol. 1 #14 as a replacement for the original version, and was first worn when Otto launched an assault on Kingpin's stronghold, Shadowland.
The suit's third style is also from the comics, as it is actually based on the Superior Octopus suit that Otto Octavius worn after transferring his mind to a Proto-Clone to stay alive in Marvel's Clone Conspiracy event. He wore this until the Spider-Geddon event, where he swapped back to the Superior Spider-Man suit.
