The Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit is a suit players can unlock at level 29 in Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Once unlocked, the suit requires 2 Base Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens, and 4 Research Tokens to be crafted. It comes with the Low Gravity suit power.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Despite the name, the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit is colored blue like most voice acting-related medias. In the comics, the suit is canonically black in color, and only appears blue to show detail in brightly lit scenes, much like early illustrations of Venom. This version of the suit appears closer to Spider-Man 2099's appearance in Beenox's developed Spider-Man games (Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and its sequel Spider-Man: Edge of Time; and home video game console adaption of The Amazing Spider-Man 2).
The suit is predominantly ultramarine with red highlights, including a large red spider partially resembling a skull as its chest insignia. Unlike most suits, this suit does not have visible eye lenses, but rather red highlights on the mask to indicate where the eyes are. The suit also features red spikes on each of the arms. Like its White Suit equivalent, the suit has clawed fingers, in reference to Miguel O'Hara's talons in the comics.

Suit Power[]
The suit's signature power, Low Gravity, allows Spider-Man to stay airborne for longer periods of time, which enables him to perform more aerial moves, and figure out his next move before landing on the ground so he can continue aerial moves like Air Yank (by holding ) or Swing Kick (by holding
).
Original appearance[]
The suit is based upon the classic Spider-Man suit donned by Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man 2099, a futuristic re-imagining of Spider-Man who first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #365.
