Old Friends is the first main mission in the "Silver Lining" downloadable content for Marvel's Spider-Man. Silver Sable, having heard about Hammerhead stealing Sable International technology, comes to New York City to stop it. Spider-Man encounters her.
Completing this mission rewards the player with the Aaron Aikman Armor.
Story[]
Mary Jane Watson prepares notes for the Daily Bugle recounting events: Yuriko Watanabe was forced onto administrative leave from almost killing Hammerhead the night before (the events of "Turf Wars"), police have found no leads on the revived Hammerhead, but know that Hammerhead's thugs are looking for more on Project Olympus.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man follows the police to an Oscorp plant. Mary Jane calls him to fill him in: it was working on Project Olympus with Sable International, developing equipment that was to be shipped overseas to Symkaria. Mary Jane then suggests Spider-Man should take a vacation soon, which he shrugs off.
After Spider-Man beats a group of Hammerhead thugs, Silver Sable arrives in her jet and shoots down the thugs. She tries to interrogate the thugs and points her guns at Spider-Man to demand more information on Hammerhead and battles him. After a quick fight, when a webbed up Hammerhead thug breaks free, Sable flies away and blows Spider-Man off. Spider-Man laments Sable's refusal to team up, and calls Mary Jane to give her an update, before Screwball interrupts.
Walkthrough[]
Follow the waypoint to the Oscorp plant and the battle there begins. Hammerhead thugs now wear largely Sable euipment, but the battle is otherwise the same as before: aside from Gatling gun brutes, all of them can be defeated using web gadgets easily, while Focus should be saved against Gatling gun brutes for Finishers.
After they are cleared out, jetpack enemies are fought in the air. Aerial attacks and Web Strikes should be used against them, and once they and the enemies on the rooftop are beat, a cutscene commences.
Sable boss battle[]
Sable is a very agile and formidable opponent. She uses melee attacks and gunfire. She also deploys a shield which blocks most of Spider-Man's web gadgets.
The best tactic against her is to dodge and follow up with melee attacks, or use Web Shooters to slow her down before attacking her. Landing enough hits on her should end the battle.
When defeated, a call with MJ leads to the next mission, "Season 3".
