Mysterio is a supervillain moniker originally used by Quentin Beck, and later briefly taken by Betsy Schneider, with Cole Wittman's assistance.
History[]
Early Years[]
Quentin Beck was a special effects artist until he became supervillain Mysterio. Beck eventually stopped being Mysterio and reformed.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2[]
Betsy took the persona of Mysterio, with the help of Cole to frame the reformed Quentin Beck for their criminal activities like stealing money after trapping people in the Mysterium. However, Beck succeeds in calling the second Spider-Man, Miles Morales for help and foils Betsy and Cole's crimes.
Appearance[]
This suit in question has green, purple, and gold accents. On top, he wears a purple cloak, covering his neck and part of his back. This cloak is held together by a gold chain on the front. Beck also wears a mask, reminiscent of a translucent sphere. This mask is full of blue mist, and it projects a human skull where the head should be. Noticeably, the gloves of the suit have clawed fingers.
Original appearance[]
Mysterio first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 #13 (June, 1964). He is also a founding member of Sinister Six.
