Marvel's Wolverine is an upcoming video game developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.[a] Based on the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, it features an original narrative that draws from the character's history across comic books and appearances in other media. It is a standalone entry in the Marvel's Spider-Man series, taking place in the same universe and sharing continuity with the preceding titles. It is currently in development and will release exclusively for the PlayStation 5.[2]

During the development of 2018 release Marvel's Spider-Man, the people at Marvel, Insomnaic Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment developed ideas for their new series of video games. As a Wolverine-themed game constantly came up, they settled on the idea and pitched the idea to Marvel and SIE a few years later.[2]

Marvel's Wolverine was announced on September 9, 2021 alongside Marvel's Spider-Man 2's announcement.[3]
Release[]
Marvel's Wolverine currently holds no estimated release date, but is expected to come out after the release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 in 2023. As of now, the game is in development.[3]
