The Iron Spider Suit is a suit players may equip in Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It is part of the "Spidey Suit Pack" pre-order bonus for the game that grants players instant access to three different suits. Players who did not pre-order can unlock the suit at level 31 using 3 Base Tokens, 3 Challenge Tokens, and 4 Crime Tokens. It comes with the Iron Arms suit power.
Due to being a movie suit, it does not possess any suit styles in the sequel.
Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
The Iron Spider Suit's design combines several aspects of the suit from the comics with Spider-Man's traditional look, being primarily red and blue with gold accents.
The spider emblems are large and geometric, like most of the MCU suits. The chest emblem connects seamlessly with the blue torso segment, as does the back emblem with the red torso segment.
The web shooters take the form of large gold bracers with glowing lights on the sides. Similar lights are also found on the torso, shoulders, and boots. The lenses also glow, with the effect being much more visible in darker areas or at night.
In the sequel, the eyes are significantly wider, and thus no longer match the other MCU suits.
Unique Feature/Suit Power[]
The Iron Arms Suit Power allows the player to deploy four Spider-Arms from the back of the suit. These Spider-Arms massively increase the range and damage of Spider-Man's basic attacks, and are even capable of breaking through the defenses of brutes and shield enemies.
In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the Iron Arms return only as a cosmetic option for the universal Spider-Arms abilities, appearing only while this suit is equipped.
Original appearance[]
The Iron Spider Suit is inspired by the armor seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Unlike most of the suits worn by Tom Holland in the MCU, this suit is completely CGI.
In Homecoming, Tony Stark offers Peter Parker a position as an Avenger after his successful capture of the Vulture, presenting the Iron Spider Suit as his official uniform. Peter turns down both the suit and the offer, and Tony instead returns the previously-confiscated Stark Suit.
In Infinity War, Stark provides Peter with the suit to save him after he is carried into space while trying to rescue Doctor Strange from Ebony Maw's Q-Ship. Peter wears this for the remainder of the film, including during the fight against Thanos on the planet Titan. When Thanos later collects the last of the Infinity Stones and performs The Snap, Peter is one of the many turned to dust by its effects, his armor dissolving along with him.
Peter returns in the Iron Spider Suit in Endgame, when the effects of The Snap are reversed by Bruce Banner. He joins the Avengers in the Battle of Earth, and is among the first to arrive at Tony's side when he dies after using the Infinity Stones to destroy Thanos and his army.
In Far From Home, Peter uses the Iron Spider Suit again when he brings down the Manfredi crime family, and later at Aunt May's charity event for those who had become homeless after The Blip. He briefly considers bringing it with him to Europe, but chooses to leave it at home.
In No Way Home, Peter again uses the Iron Spider Suit after the Upgraded Suit is stained by green paint thrown by a Mysterio supporter. The suit is damaged in his fight against the Raimiverse Doctor Octopus on the Alexander Hamilton Bridge, who tears off some of the suit's nanites to infuse with his tentacles. Doctor Strange later converts the remaining nanites into an enchanted gauntlet for Peter to capture other multiversal trespassers. When Peter betrays Strange, he confiscates the gauntlet.
Later, after repairing Doc Ock's inhibitor chip and allowing him to regain control over his mind and his tentacles, Doc Ock returns the stolen nanites, transforming Peter's Upgraded Suit into the Hybrid Suit.
