The Into the Spider-Verse SB Suit is a suit players may equip for Miles Morales in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Due to being a movie suit, it does not posses any suit styles.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

The suit is essentially the Spider-Verse version of the Great Responsibility Suit, being a crude Halloween costume replica of Peter Parker's Into the Spider-Verse suit. It is too small for Miles's build, so its mask does not fully cover his neck, its arms only reach his elbows, and its legs only reach his knees, exposing the skin of his neck, lower arms, and calves. It appears that the exposed "skin" is part of the suit because whenever Miles unmasks in cutscenes with the suit equipped, the "skin" on his neck is separated from his actual flesh. There is a hole in the back exposing the white fabric within. He wears his Web Shooter wristbands, white socks with red stripes, red sneakers with red and black stripes. and a yellow cape around his neck. Under the cape is a price tag from Stan's Costumes, reading, "It always fits eventually".

Unlike in the film, the mask's eye holes that expose Miles's eyes are covered with white fabric, and his shoes bear the Insomniac logo.

Unique Features[]

The suit is equipped with Bam! Pow! Wham! and Vibe the Verse, first appeared as a gadget mods in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. They can only be activated separately when the Screen Effect options Film Style Animation and Comic Book Effects being turned on.

Original appearance[]

The suit is based on Miles Morales' first costume during the course of the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, itself based on the Great Responsibility Suit from the comics.

Following Peter Parker's death at the hands of Wilson Fisk, Miles purchases a Halloween costume replica of Peter's suit as tribute for his funeral from Stan's Collectibles. Miles continues to wear this suit after meeting a displaced alternate middle aged version of Peter (named Peter B. Parker), until Fisk kills Aaron Davis when the latter regretfully learns that Miles is the new Spider-Man in their home universe. Miles discards this suit in favor of wearing a repainted version of one of Peter's costumes after taking advices from his displaced Spider-Allies besides Peter B. about the first cost of being a Spider-Hero.

The cape is a reference to a scene in the film in which Miles briefly dons a cape while suiting up near Alchemax, only for Peter B. to remove it, informing him that Spider-Men normally do not wear capes. Ironically, the late Peter is shown to have once worn a sentient cape in his crime-fighting career, that being Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation.

The price tag's slogan is a quote from the Stan's Collectibles shop owner, voiced and modeled after the late Stan Lee (the voice of Short Order Cook), in the scene where Miles purchases the costume. Into the Spider-Verse was also Stan Lee's last animated movie role prior to his passing a month before the first Spider-Verse movie was released.

This suit briefly appeared in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in one of Miles's "glitching" moments when a resentful Miguel berates him about his status as an anomaly in the Nueva York Train Chase scene.
