The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man App, (a.k.a FNSM App) is an app made by Ganke Lee. The app will automatically notify you of the various crimes and activities happening across New York City, and completing these will provide you with experience and rewards.
It lets New Yorkers directly request help from an available Spider-Man between Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and report crimes in progress.

- Miles Morales
In Miles Morales, completing all of the app's exclusive side missions will reward Miles with a thank you gift from its users and the Uptown Pride Suit.
- Marvel's Spider-Man 2
In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, the FNSM app gets a new upgraded look, and the side missions have new icons next to the text. Players can also switch between two Spider-Men.
However, like the main missions, some missions are exclusive to a specific Spider-Man, and some Spider-Men cannot be switch places each other if one of them is unavailable in specific story progression levels.
In the first progress, due to Sandman's rampage the use of FNSM app being briefly rendered useless until Ganke helps Spider-Men to restore the city's network locations that has been hit and blocked by one of Sandman's sands.

Even before the app was developed, crime fighting is already available after completing the Parting Gift mission. However, unlike the first game, crime fighting in this game can be selected anytime after completing Harlem Trains Out of Service.
