The Black and Gold Suit is a suit players may equip in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. In Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, it was added for free as part of Update 1.0006 in the PlayStation 5 version and is available from the start in the Microsoft Windows version. It does not possess an associated suit power.
In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, it is unlocked at Level 60. It also does not possess any suit styles, as it is a movie suit.
Characteristics[]
The Black and Gold Suit is Peter Parker's Upgraded Suit flipped inside-out.
As the name implies, it is a black suit with gold web lines and gold spider emblems. Exposed wires, circuit patterns, and visible seam lines cover much of the suit. The right arm features a mystical gauntlet engraved with magic symbols.
Original appearance[]
The Black and Gold Suit is inspired by the costume worn by Tom Holland in Spider-Man: No Way Home, directed by Jon Watts.
When the Upgraded Suit is stained with green paint by a Mysterio supporter, Peter Parker tries and fails to clean it himself. He temporarily uses the Iron Spider Suit instead, until it is damaged by the Raimiverse's Doctor Octopus.
After Peter and Doc Ock are summoned to the Sanctum Sanctorum, Doctor Strange takes the remaining nanites from the Iron Spider Suit to create a mystical gauntlet for the purpose of capturing and imprisoning other displaced visitors.
With no other suits available, Peter flips his Upgraded Suit inside-out and wears it, along with the magic gauntlet, during his first encounter with the Webbverse's Electro and the Raimiverse's Sandman.
It is later properly cleaned by Aunt May, and Peter wears it normally until it is upgraded into the Hybrid Suit, then later discarded in favor of the New Red and Blue Suit.
Trivia[]
- The Black and Gold Suit is the sixth MCU suit to be featured in the game, alongside the Homemade Suit, Stark Suit, Iron Spider Suit, Upgraded Suit, Stealth Suit, and Hybrid Suit.
