Betsy Schneider is a minor antagonist in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. She is the former business partner of Quentin Beck and Cole Wittman as part of the Mysterium entertainment venture.
However, she and Wittman conspired together to misuse the technology, later kidnapping Beck with the hopes of framing him, with Betsy briefly assuming the Mysterio moniker via VR device at the primary Mysterium attraction in Coney Island. However, Miles Morales (Spider-Man) foils the duo's plans.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2[]
Betsy worked with Cole and Quentin Beck to develop VR gaming, creating the "Mysterium". However, she really wanted to use the device to capture rich people and steal their wealth by trapping them in the game. Beck, however, realizes they are corrupt and informs Spider-Man (Miles) to stop them. Knowing Beck was suspicious, the women tied him up and hold him hostage, with Betsy wanting to keep him alive to hold for ransom and frame for their crimes. However, Miles stopped them and freed Beck.

Betsy Schneider first appeared in Webspinners: Tales of Spider-Man #1 (November, 1998). Betsy was Quentin's childhood friend, when he was living on 34th Street, down the river. When she met Quentin again and started dating him, she was fascinated by his Mysterio persona, but later feared him. Joe Smith later rescued her and they fell in love with each other.
