The Apunkalyptic Suit is one of the five suits for Peter in the Digital Deluxe bundle for Marvel's Spider-Man 2. It can be equipped at any time, and is automatically unlocked if the user has the Digital Deluxe bundle. The suit is an original creation designed by Jerad Marantz.
Characteristics[]
The Apunkalyptic Suit combines punk and apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic aesthetics with the Classic Spider-Man look. It consists of a red-and-blue costume with a large silver-white spider logo under cargo pants and a leather jacket.
The mask features four additional circular pieces of unknown purpose - two above the main lenses and two below - and a metal-framed opening for a mohawk to stick out from the top. It is also the only part of the suit that does not appear to have suffered any sort of wear or damage.
The spider logo on the costume is broken in places, most notably around the spider's abdomen. The leather jacket has a vague patchwork-like appearance with what appear to be a futuristic form of sewing lines. The torso sports similar red and blue colors as the costume underneath and the arms being black. A three-layered pauldron in white and gold covers the right shoulder. Part of the left forearm is torn, exposing bare skin, while the entire sleeve is removed from the elbow down on the right.
The left hand is covered by a red-and-brown leather glove with metal accents and what appear to be additional web fluid cartridges on the back of the wrist. The entire right arm from the elbow down has been replaced with a metal prosthetic, its hand designed similarly to the gloved left hand.
The cargo pants have added leather segments and pouches on each hip. The left knee down has been replaced with a metal prosthetic. Instead of replicating the remaining limb, it is instead painted in the classic red-and-blue colors. A torn patch in the knee of the right leg reveals more of the costume underneath the clothing. Steel-toed boots cover both feet.
Trivia[]
- The characters "AF-15" are printed on the left side of the jacket, referring to Amazing Fantasy 15, the comic book in which Spider-Man made his first debut.
